Learning outcomes covered

  • Explain what SRDP is, what it replaces, and why the election is effectively permanent.
  • Read a determination or offer letter and identify what is genuinely on the table, including where the figure presented is nil.
  • Recognise the offsets and interactions that drive an SRDP outcome – impairment compensation, Commonwealth invalidity benefits, taxation treatment and means-tested payments.
  • Identify the point at which the question stops being advocacy and becomes financial advice, and hand over cleanly.
  • Apply a repeatable checklist before a client signs anything.
